SET AND STRUCTURE

Informal and open organization of the representatives of Lithuanian Universities.

Governing body - Constituent Board, consisting of representatives of 5 University's:

• ISM University of Management and Economics.
• Kaunas University of Technology.
• Klaipeda University.
• Lithuanian University of Law.
• Vilnius University.

LONG TERM OBJECTIVE

To become a recognized and influential organisation of continuous education representing Lithuanian universities.

SHORT TERM OBJECTIVE

• To legalise LUCEN.
• To define the scope of its activities and membership.
• To build up the organisation by accepting members.

GOALS

• Prepare LUCEN regulations defining organisation mission, goals, aims, type and membership, 10 05 2005.
• Prepare the draft set of laws and regulations of the Republic of Lithuania on university continuous education activities, 01 05 2005.
• Discuss the development of LUCEN website and start the work; develop the primary option of the website 25 05 2005.
• Prepare for EULLearN project general meeting and hold LUCEN meeting on 27 May 2005.

IMMEDIATE ACTIONS

• Develop links with EUCEN, and join appropriate projects, putting priority on EULLearN.
• Design and disseminate LUCEN mailing list.
